A work by Matteo Ferretti and a constellation of archetypal presences

ARCHETYPES

An MF ART Archetype is the name I give to a recognisable force that emerges within the artwork.

A person may recognise that force in their present, their memory or their own trajectory.

The Archetype gives form to this recognition.

Due individui attraversati dalla costellazione archetipica MF ART

Every person encounters an artwork through their own sensitivity, memory, experience and identity.

This is why the same work can open different resonances.

At times, one force emerges with particular clarity.

This is where the Archetype begins.

Architectural space and a field of archetypal presences

Each artwork can manifest a different constellation.

One dominant Archetype defines the central force.

Secondary resonances articulate its complexity.

The Poetic Identity gives a unique name to the combination that emerges within the work.

SECONDARY RESONANCES

The forces that expand and articulate the presence.

POETIC IDENTITY

The name through which the artwork manifests its own constellation.

WITHIN THE ARTWORK

Matter, gesture, rhythm, colour, light and form make the archetypal force visible.

WITHIN THE INDIVIDUAL

That force encounters memory, sensitivity, aspiration and identity.

Recognition makes the experience personal.

WITHIN THE SPACE

The artwork introduces a quality capable of shaping perception, atmosphere and relationship.

The space amplifies the recognised force.

The artwork manifests the Archetype.

The individual recognises it.

The space amplifies it.

Work, individual and space united in the MF ART archetypal constellation

When the matrix of the artwork moves beyond the surface of the canvas, it can take on new forms.

Light, movement, space and technology extend the experience without erasing its origin.

This is where Metamorphosis begins.
